An extraordinary meeting of Comeytrowe Parish Council has been called on Monday 23rd May 2022, following the Annual Parish Meeting at 7.30pm to be held in Comeytrowe Community Hall


1.    To receive apologies for absence

2.    An opportunity for residents to share their views on the following proposal put forward and agreed by Somerset West & Taunton Council:

Comeytrowe Parish Council be abolished, and the entire area of Comeytrowe Parish be included within the boundary of the proposed new Taunton Town Council.





A Commemorative bench has been installed at Comeytrowe Neoghbourhood Park in memory of Cllr Alan Wedderkopp, who served the Comeytrowe Community Faithfully as a Councillor for 18 years. The bench will be formally unveiled on SATURDAY 19th FEBRUARY at 10.30am, where residents are welcome to attend. 


A TOWN/PARISH COUNCIL FOR TAUNTON – Including the possibility of Comeytrowe Parish Council being abolished and the Parish absorbed into the Town Council? - This consultation has now closed.  Further information will be displayed here when the second round of consuultations are live.





Comeytrowe is a very pleasant area that is located within the County Town of Taunton, Somerset. Until the middle of the 20th Century, the area consisted of green fields but over a period of thirty years houses were built on these fields in order to accommodate the growing population. Read more...
