A TOWN/PARISH COUNCIL FOR TAUNTON – Including the possibility of Comeytrowe Parish Council being abolished and the Parish absorbed into the Town Council?

Somerset West and Taunton Council are carrying out a review to decide on whether changes should be made to the existing local governance arrangements. This includes whether or not a new Taunton town council should be formed as a second tier authority beneath the new Somerset-wide council; whether it should include the suburb parishes immediately adjoining the town, and whether any other changes should be made to these closely surrounding parishes. All local residents and organisations are invited to give their views.
